World Series Game 7 Cubs vs Indians

Baseball being my favorite sport (more so to play than to watch), I think a World Series game 7 might just be the best thing in sports. It's so hard to keep up with baseball during the season, and the 4+ hour playoff games, but when it comes down to just one game I don't think there's anything better... when your team isn't involved, obviously. Go Cubs!

Anyone care? Who you guys rooting for?

Go Indians...for a sole singular reason:

I have both Kyle Hendricks and Aroldis Chapman on my 100% keeper fantasy team. I want Hendricks chased early to save innings on his arm and to protect Chapman (since he was inexplicably used last night).

My fantasy team > real-life baseball.

Huge baseball fan, this series is why i love baseball so much. Go cubs!! from a baseball standpoint, both teams fun to watch, but I personally just enjoy watching the cubs play more (with the exception of Lindor, dudes ridiculous)! Talent is un fucking real!!

CHU WANNA PLAY ROUGHH?! HOKAY!!

I swear to God, if you walk around Wrigleyville on game day, I'd bet at least 75% of the people could not tell you the complete Cubs batting order...the amount of bandwagon fans in Chi are ridiculous.

Been a die hard cubs fan my whole life, this series is seriously draining. My work, wife, family, etc... will all be better when it's over, but I am enjoying the hell out of this.

I'm pretty nervous about tonight and the lineup of pitchers that the Indians are going to throw, but I'm really hoping the cubs squeeze it out. Chicago has been electric for the Cubs for a month, it might burn down tonight.

As a huge Red Sox fan, I know what it was like to go through a "curse" and finally end it in 2004. I'm all for the Cubs winning it for once and seeing all the elderly Cubs fans actually see their beloved team win it all after 100+ years. They deserve it the most.

Contra omnes dissident

Huge Cubs fan, this has been an emotionally draining October. My thought is this - Kluber threw 215 innings this season. He has thrown over 30 innings so far in the postseason. The dude is not a robot. At some point his arm has to die and I'm hoping tonight is that night.

Also I think Jason Heyward redeems his atrocious season by coming up big tonight. It looks like he's been seeing the ball better and has finally started making some hard contact. Would love for him to come through. Win or lose, Chicago may not exist after tonight. RIP in peace.

I love baseball. I'm a Padres fan myself, but the wife is a huge Cubs fan. Last night's game was fun to watch, but I can't believe Maddon's decision to bring in Chapman in the 7th to grind out another 20 fastballs with a 5-run lead. When he made that play at first and looked like he twisted his ankle on the bag, I about shit myself.

Here's hoping for an exciting finish. I'd say the Cubs definitely have the momentum after last night, but who knows what's gonna happen.

Northeast Ohio native here, so I'm pulling for the Tribe. At the risk of sounding like a typical insecure/needy Cleveland sports fan, I'm wondering if this is just the Universe righting itself after the NBA Finals (remember when the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead???). Kluber on the mound at home...can't ask for anything more than that, especially since the Indians weren't supposed to make it out of the first round.

The Cubs are about to give the Indians the Cleveland treatment (comeback from 3-1 down).

Admittedly, I'm a bandwagon fan who hasn't watched a full game of baseball in his life. I'd assume 90% of the dicks screaming "Go Cubs go" in the streets are also bandwagons. Either way, go Cubs go!

I have no dog in this fight, but I know a TON of people from Northern Ohio. It would be the most Cleveland thing ever to win the NBA championship coming back from 3-1 only to lose the world series being UP 3-1. Classic Cle

On the one hand, I want people to stop talking about the Cubs last winning the WS when the Ottoman Empire still existed. On the other hand, Chicago had a WS winning baseball team in 2005, but I guess since it's not the team of rich suburban Chicago residents, it doesn't count. Cubs fans acting like they've been in prolonged agony is BS and the whole Bartman incident is indicative of why Cubs fans suck.

Gimme the loot

Not a huge baseball fan, but why did they leave Chapman in for so long? Maybe it was just to suppress the curse from potentially happening ie: Indians if they came back last night.
