yeah, to be honest the real problem was that one of his homies must have forwarded the email around. I'm sure I've said worse verbally to my own buddies. I've just never sent such a thing in writing - and certainly not from a corporate email!
Would actually think those are the best emails I've ever seen, especially the Peter Chung one. The Carlyle folk were clearly just jealous
As long as you are not incredibly stupid and/or naive, the chances of your career coming to an end due to inappropriate content in an email, would be very low. With that said, there is a much higher probability that poorly constructed emails will have a negative impact on your career.
