Compliance this year isn't letting us have an office pool. Apparently last year, the older guys made a first year analyst organize the large office pool. 20 buy in spread across 250 brackets (multiple brackets were allowed as long as you paid $20 for each one.) well we had it on tape, but one late night after the kid had worked an all nighter and 30 hours straight or so, he went to the lobby to get his car home, and forgot the package of money on a chair. Some identified person stole it once he left. He freaked out because he didn't have the money. He had been in the office for two straight nights working on a deal and there was proof of this. (Possible employee abuse). Well higher ups thought they couldn't really force him to pay up, word got around, hence no more fun.

identified person should not have been in the building and was a lurker. right place at the right time guy and meant unidentified person, hourly contractor who helped clean the building and got paid in cash and never came back/food deliver guy/ who knows
