WTF is a "customer engagement specialist?"
Is it just me, or do you guys think it's really stupid for someone on LinkedIn to say they were a "Customer Engagement and Relations Specialist" or some nonsense like that, when really they were just a cashier? What's the point of this?
My guess is in this era of e-commerce, this sort of title addresses both brick-and-mortar cashiers/customer service-type positions, as well as online account/customer-assistance jobs along with help-support jobs that are phone-based.
Were they really a cashier or were they a "Customer Engagement and Relations Specialist?"
If that's their actual title, it's fair game
Taco Bell calls their cashiers "Champions" I just think it's pretty silly to write that on a resume
Probably call customers and get them to buy things.
