Year Abroad (working in abroad country)

I'm about to start at the LSE. There is an option to take a year abroad at various universities in California, at the standard UK fee (around £20,000). I think the most 'prestigious' is Berkley. This year would not contribute towards a masters, it is just an additional year. However, I am interested in moving to the US, as the crypto/DeFi scene is much bigger due to regulations in the UK. Would this year allow me to get employment for said firms after? What about big firms like MBB?

It’s “Berkeley”
