Yorkville NYC?

hey everyone, I am moving to NY to start a job in Midtown. I am looking for a studio/1 bdr apartment and have come across some pretty decent ones in Yorkville on the UES. Wondering what people familiar with the city think about the area. Commute to work is 15 mins on the Q train which is great but I am concerned about accessibility to other areas esp downtown.

Will really appreciate any thoughts! Thank you!

Lived there for a few years and enjoyed it. It’s pretty quiet and more family oriented, I’d say, but you’re only a few avenues away from bars and such (Penrose, Stumble Inn, etc).

From a commuting standpoint, you nailed it. Given that it’s up/right on the map, it personally got tiring having to spent decent time to get back home after nights out. Given that essentially is WFH now though, I think that’d be less of a problem.
