Your Best Suit

Describe your best custom suit.

Where from, what color, the construction, any custom details etc.

What I would consider my best suit is a navy suit, made at Henry Davidsen in Philadelphia. Full canvassed jacket, slim, but not overly tight, dark red lining in the jacket. Opted for pick stitching. One detail is that the lining of the outside jacket pocket flips out and serves as a pocket square. Never used it, but its there.

Really depends on what style you want. I have a bunch of high-end RTW and MTM suits /coats from all the usual Italian suspects - Brioni, Kiton, Cesare Attolini, Ermenegildo Zegna Couture, Castangia / Battistoni, Sartoria Partenopea, 90% Italian tbh., with the odd Oxxford, Paul Stuart, RLPL, and some English brands.

I do have some bespoke suits, but it's a tedious process IMO. Luckily I have a body type which is very compatible with RTW pieces from the above makers - and if not, then MTM service will fix that.

My favorite? Probably Attolini. I have one solid navy suit with wide-ish peak lapels that I always get compliments on.

Very similar to yours.

I have a navy blue suit made by my favorite suit marker in Studio City, CA. Fully canvassed jacket and custom fit for me. Its a silk wool blend, so it works in the summertime here (as much as a suit can). I have tiffany blue lining with the same pocket square jacket pocket thing. I use it a lot and I've even been asked where I got the pocket square. Kinda funny to say its the pocket lining. Peak lapels that aren't too wide, slanted jacket pockets, and two buttons. Four buttons on each sleeve.

Pants are silk wool blend, no belt loops but side tabs, no cuff. They make custom shirts as well. Hard to beat the navy suit with crisp white shirt look.

Rocky’s Custom Clothes. Best bespoke suit for the price. Ask if they have extra fabric, you can normally get a discount. So you can get their higher tier fabric for the price of a lower tier.

Also: ask for Sapna. She’s my favorite designer.
