Studied abroad in Germany last semester, spent 4 months in my dorm room.
Was only worth it for the “Look at me I went abroad” on my CV.
That sucks, I feel like that’s cause of COVID tho?
Yes absolutely, the dorm was 20% or something occupied and many student just went back to their home to follow the online classes.
That was quite an experience but not your usual exchange semester!
Two semesters in Vanuatu for 11 months. Was fucking off the chain. Backpacked Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. The sad part is I was so hyped on banking for when I got back, but looking back on it now, life hasn’t got anywhere close to that good. Definitely going to quit my job in a couple of months and go back to that part of the world
Studied in Leuven, Belgium for the full semester right before covid (Fall 2019). Most amazing people and places I went to in my life - honestly that may have been my peak
