accounting/ cpa

i just returned home from a year abroad in frankfurt, germany. i have finished both my finance and international business degrees (big ten school non-target), and i think i would like to matriculate into a master of accounting/ tax program in germany- where tuition is around 500 euros per semester depending on which state you study in. i am familiar with the 150+ hour rule that we have here, but if i decided to return home after school would i be able to sit for a cpa exam without actually having an accounting degree from the states?

danke sehr und schoenes wochenende...

Macc is a waste of time. Everything you need is on the CPA. Mst will expose you to areas not on the CPA.

Not sure if you'll learn a whole lot about U.S. federal taxation in Germany though.

As far as the credit hours go, the degree you end up going for needs to have a certain number of courses in different areas of accounting. Check the AICPA website.

Why not start your career, then have big 4 pay for a masters?
