Amazon is getting into the pharmacy business

Amazon (AMZN) just announced the acquisition of PillPack, an online pharmacy that offers pre-sorted doses of medications and home delivery.

The deal is expected to be closed during 2H 2018.

Terms of the deal are not disclosed.

CVS &MCK down 7% already. Any thought?

Definitely, also it is hard for Amazon to revamp the drug distribution industry as there are many political restrictions. But by confirming that Amazon is entering into this space, these Retail pharmacy & drug distributors face much more pressure than before. Looking forward to what Amazon can do.
