Big 4 Traveling

Hey, good afternoon to you guys.
I'm a freshman at a top 35 school for Accounting, and, while I have tons left to go for earning my Bachelor's degree, I did have a quick question about the Big 4 that I couldn't find any specific answers for online. I'm majoring in Accounting and minoring in Japanese language (I hold Japanese citizenship and am re-learning the language, if that detail helps w the following question).
Currently I plan to work for one of the Big 4 firms after college, and I'm aware they have you travel a lot. With that in mind, though, are you given choice in where you travel to? As you could guess, I'm very interested in working with companies located in Japan, though I'm not too sure if I'd be keen on having residence in Japan. If I preferred to work for clients located in Japan, do I have that choice? And if so, can I still reside in the U.S. but fly out for the week or multiple weeks to work in Japan?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You go where you’re needed. Chances are, if an engagement came out of your practice, that happened to be in Japan, you’d be top of the list.

Trust me, 1. travelling with work is rarely a holiday so if you want to see Japan, you’re better off paying for your own holiday or living there and 2. you won’t want to fly back and forth a week at a time.
