Breaking into Headhunting?

So I was just on my school career website and saw a posting for a large headhunting firm, which got me thinking. What exactly do headhunting firms look for in possible headhunters? Is it a plus to have banking experience? Or is it a safe bet to just go straight for such a career?

I'm still interested in finance, but the personal interacting, presumably fewer hours, and large pay are all pretty attractive for this job...

i did a shit ton of linkedin stalking on people who worked at firms like amity, HG, henkel seems like most of them all do a stint in IBD- usually M&A, or a top coverage group it's mostly women in my experience- don't know if that means anything

.

the hours are definitely better if you went to a target/semi target school, im positive you must have some alumni who work there why not ask them?
