Ok so I got placed in the "Commercial and New Business" department of an E&P firm (not a supermajor) after completing my MBA.
What exactly does this department do in an independent E&P company? What kind of technical skills would I need to excel in this role? What is the career growth?
Also, what are the exit opportunities? Can I move in Equity Research after a few years here?
