Compliance Summer Internship vs. CAIA, thesis and beach

Hey!

I have an offer for a summer internshipat a BB in Europe in compliance. I am in my first semester of a master in finance at a fairly reputable uni in continental Europe. I have no work experience so far because of my background (I studied humanities in my bachelor). I would love to end up in PE, IB or to a lesser degree in AM and consulting. I will also do an internship in Audit at a Big4 in october. Now to my question: Would you take the summer internship in compliance or take the alternative and study for CAIA, work on the thesis and go on holiday? I do not think that compliance will get me closer to a job in one of the three areas above but the work experience could still be very valuable and a BB on the CV is not a bad thing either.

Regards Phil
