Corporate Finance to... ?

So, a few months ago I started working as a Financial Analyst for a large corporation. This was never my ideal job, but the offer was decent and the work isn't too bad. The problem I am having though is... what's next?

For anyone who has similar experience, what did you do? Rise up in the company or jump ship? What other types of work (hedge fund, investment banking, etc.) can this job help me with?

Mostly just looking for some general information or what others did. I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer!
