Dartmouth Partners

So I get reached out to on LinkedIn by a “consultant” from Dartmouth Partners about an opportunity at a growth equity firm. I ended up reaching out directly to the firm to see whats up and check if the internship being shown to me is legit. Does anyone else know if Dartmouth Partners has any backing? Seems kinda scammy to me.

Based on previous WSO threads, Dartmouth Partners is a known recruiting firm, particularly for private equity and associate-level recruiting. However, there have been mixed reviews about their professionalism and processes. For instance, one user shared a negative experience where they received multiple incorrectly timed calendar invites during the interview process, which created confusion and frustration. While they are recognized in the industry, such experiences have led some to question their reliability.

If you're feeling uncertain, your approach of reaching out directly to the firm to verify the legitimacy of the opportunity is a smart move. It ensures you're not wasting time on something that might not be genuine. If the growth equity firm confirms the internship, then you can proceed with more confidence.
