Delayed start date?

Looking to get some insight on my situation-

I accepted a full-time offer from BlackRock two months ago and was told that I could start in March (seeing as how I graduated a semester early). So I quit my internship and planned a month long vacation on account of this. However, now HR tells me that the March start date is full and I have to wait until August (the standard start date). My question is, what do I do for six months now? Is it wise to find another job in the field that only lasts six months, or to do something I love and really take advantage of this time? Thanks for the help!

Because most of these people have been told what to do all of their lives so far. Why would they start making their own decisions now?!

Do something you love. Whether it be working at a job that you'll enjoy doing what you do, or traveling some more or just sleeping all day. You're about to be a slave, take advantage of not being one!
