johnny_questQuestion guys - i know someone whose resume I came across at my firm (top BB). He works in IBD but listed a different group than the one he actually works in at my bank (i.e., he actually works in DCM FIG, but listed his group as FIG coverage).

Have you guys seen this before? Has anyone been able to pull it off if he spins it the right away? Apparently, this guy has an offer from a major PE fund (think Cerberus, TH Lee Partners, etc.)

What are the chances of this guy getting caught?

I'm surprised he got the offer - wouldn't that mean he would have also lied during the interview about his specific role and responsibilities when he got the walk me through your resume/deals question? You'd think that this is a VERY easy thing for a PE shop to confirm with a phone call to the BB.

I'll give the OP the benefit of the doubt that he's not 'the guy'. I don't think anyone is stupid enough to announce this if they were the culprit. I think the guy is 'a friend' that the OP thinks undeservingly received a top offer (when he didn't, or did but a 'lesser offer') and wants to see justice served and is half-hoping that someone from the top fund is reading this thread and will do the DD

I think you just gave the guy away...comes from a top BB, supposedly in the FIG coverage group, and has a MF offer. Would not be hard to find out who he is.

2nd the above. Hope this guy is a real jerk who would deserve getting ruined via a stupid website (no offense Patrick). Way to throw your bro under the bus dick.

TechBankingJohnny Quest thinks we're sellouts

Well I really don't know if it matters at all so but we try to keep the prices low for our records and our shows but is that is that enough or is (it) that we're not punk enough or is (it) that you think ska just sucks (but) Johnny Quest, he thinks we're what?

Great Less Than Jake reference there TechBanking... I think very few people on here got it.

Was about to comment - who is referencing LTJ?? They played a show in BK last week and I think they have another one tonight... not sure i've heard anything theyve done in 10 years though...
