Does anyone know how the interview process for this is like? I'm interviewing for a position in the Compliance division. Any tips/suggestions? Will the interview mostly be behavioral?

I saw a posting for this position on my campus recruiting site. It's all going to be behavioral. A compliance job is ops an there is nothing technical in nature about the job. Should be a breeze interview process. Such as tell me about a time when you showed leadership...and other bs HR questions like that. I wouldn't pursue that route if I were you

For compliance they might ask something about regulation and stress tests. Anything is a fair game but expect mostly behavior.

Do what you want not what you can!

HI

did you get invited for the interview? when did you hear from them? I also applied and I appled for operations.....but havent heard from them so far....

Does anyone know what compliance work really involves?

I mean I'm doing tax compliance right now and that involves preparing tax returns for our company's entities...but I don't think that's what I'll be doing at Goldman...

Compliance is administrative work that includes legal issues, HR admin, and tasks that make sure employees stay in compliance with the SEC and other regulations, It's not related to finance at all, probably very monotonous and mundane, and has nothing to do with finance except the name on the card.
