Headhunters in Corporate Banking/Credit Risk

I've heard much about headhunters recruitment IBD analysts into PE/HF firms but what about for corporate banking and credit risk type positions? Specifically, do headhunters look for talent only in large cities like NYC?

I got an offer from a BB in Corporate credit risk but in the salt lake city; a lot of large banks have started establishing/growinf offices in SC because of, I believe, tax breaks. I know an alum from my school who got headhunted into a HF and he was working in the same position at the same BB, but he was in NY. Back then the Credit Risk functions for this bank was divided between NY and SLC, but now they've started moving everyone I'm credit risk over to SLC. So would I be unnoticed by headhunters?
