How are Inter-Dealer Brokers (IDBs) still surviving?
For anyone working in IDBs or just about anyone familiar with this industry and know a thing or 2, I have a few questions?
-
It's almost 2025, with all the automation and advancements in tech, how are IDBs (middle men) going to adapt to ensure relevance and success in the long run?
-
If one were to actually get into this line right now or any time in the near future, which asset class would you recommend that has the least chance of being phased away by automation and advancements in tech.
-
How is pay structured in an IDB and how does the pay range look like for brokers in these firms particularly as one gains experience. I do understand the 80/20 rule exists but curious on hearing real examples.
Many thanks in advance for any inputs or advice!!!
