Internship at International Chamber of Commerce?

Hi guys,

In my search for work my parents referred me to somebody who they said I could talk with about getting a possible internship at the International Chamber of commerce.

Honestly, I've never heard of this organization and I'm not doubting it's legitimacy but I'm just curious to hear more opinions on what an internship here would look like on a resume.

Some background info:

Graduating in June. I don't really have any redeeming qualities other than some decent extracurricular things and I have a horrid GPA. The semesters not over yet but I can safely say the path I'm headed on right now is definitely not ideal as my employment prospects are bleak at best. Where I'd really like to be is doing ER specifically for the auto or tech sectors. I know that may sound impossible at my stage but it's my goal nonetheless.

Part of my concern comes from the fact that they haven't told me anything in terms of what I'd be doing or working on. As far as I know I could be a glorified paperboy/coffee slave. I have a tentative goal and I'd like to spend my time effectively making steps towards that rather than waste my time for a blurb on the resume.

Anyways. I have the number of the referral and I'm supposed to give him a call to see what's what tomorrow but I'd really feel a lot more comfortable doing it if I had some advice. If you guys could give me any feedback or input I'd be really grateful.

Thanks guys
