Is data entry the most time consuming process in CRM day to day for anyone else?

Does anybody else spend most of their day simply inputting info into a crm from another site (or hire someone to do it for them)? For example, I work at a non profit and all I do is pull reports from Give Smart and input them as opportunities and it is a painstaking and beyond time consuming process. I imagine with lots of clients and calls, this is a pain in the ass job given to interns (but affects everyone) and lower level employees on WallSt as well.
