RE Development Bonus?

Hey all

I know there are several RE guys in this forum and was wondering if they could shed some light on Bonuses in RE development.

I'm a first year analyst at a large (> 5000 employees) RE development Co. We didn't complete/start any development this year, but my company is known more as a building manager (Top 5 largest in US) than a developer - at least in my market. Our market was extremely hot with transactions this past year, and I underwrote over twenty deals for our buyer clients; we landed five.

I know I should have gotten it in writing, been more direct during the recruitment/interview process, and all that, but I have no clue if I will get a bonus. We bonus out our building managers at about 20% of salary. This generally seems like the type of gig that elicits the all-mighty "variable income."

Anyone have any info, from experience or from reading somewhere?

InternationalPymp and VTech4Ever (butchered name, pretty sure), you guys have helped me out a bunch on here in the past. Would love your input, specifically.

Thanks

It's a really broad question. Some developers do give bonuses, and they can be substantial, but it totally depends on the position, responsibilities, current market conditions, etc... sorry that probably doesn't help too much
