Screw Wall Street – Panhandling’s the way to go.

Looking for a drastic career change (and maybe to relocate)? A recent report shows that Canada is cracking down on what they call “professional panhandling” in the city of Edmonton. According to the article, some of these people are making $400 a day. Not bad – if they never take a day off they could net nearly $150k, tax free income. See? There are plenty of other options out there.

And in case you’re not clear or need some pointers before you hit the streets with your paper cup, there’s even a Wiki that is chock full of how to’s, tips and warnings, such as “make a sign”, “remember to smile” and “don’t walk into oncoming traffic”. Good stuff!

True Story Put on your best salvation army git up, drive down from the suburbs to your favorite sporting event, walk to the stadium, climb into a wheel chair, and claim to be a tin cup toting veteran. In my experience, the true homeless lack the panhandlers ambition.

Best panhandler I ever saw. Bottom of the escalator at Penn Station with a cardboard box of 4 kittens that couldn't have been more than 2 weeks old and a sign saying "help me feed my kittens."

Yea... if by "my kittens" he meant crack and alcohol addiction. You know how many suckers he probably picked off.
