Seeking Career Advice: Pivoting to a Quantitative Role with Strong Career Progression and Compensation

I'm a rising senior seeking career advice. I'm majoring in Economics with minors in Data Science and Applied Statistics, and I'm considering adding a Finance minor. With a near 4.0 GPA, I have an upcoming summer internship in a rotational program at a major bank, focusing on Risk Management, Controls, and Operations. While I'm excited about this opportunity, I'm looking to pivot post-graduation into a more quantitative, dynamic, and exciting role with decent pay that utilizes my analytical skills. High finance/IB seems unlikely, so I'm considering consulting but am still unsure. Additionally, I'm curious about career progression and compensation in these fields. Any suggestions on potential career paths, recruiting strategies, and insights into career growth and pay would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
