Ghosted by recruiters

What's up WSO - Long time since I've posted. I wanted to reach out to see if anyone else in this forum has undergone the exhausting and degrading experience of being ghosted by a recruiter, despite finding decent appeal from prospective employers.

I began to pick up my job search earlier this year as I received some cold outreach from the usual suspects (Selby, Coda, Mission, Robert Half, etc.). I've reached the final steps with one PE firm, the third round with a MM hedge fund, and third round in a sell side equity research gig. All things considered, I'd say I've found mild success, albeit without any offers. Regardless, I would think that my progress in these interviews would indicate that my candidacy is at least somewhat competitive. Unfortunately, I usually don't receive a formal "denial" from the recruiter unless I follow-up several times. Not to mention, I also never end up hearing back from the same recruiter who had reached out initially despite them posting similar job opportunities on LinkedIn and elsewhere.

Has this happened to anybody else? Or am I alone in this process? Appreciate any input on this topic.

Best,

PR
