Hate IB what should I do next
Hitting a few months as a lateral AN at a top BB soon, honestly don’t know what i want to do next anymore since I’m worried PE is gonna be more of the same. I used to actually be excited about investing but I think that also isn’t true anymore given the personalities I’ve dealt with across IB and in the better buyside firms. Candidly i just dont enjoy the work and think the learning was always getting good at ppt/modeling which AI has made obsolete. Late night rantings with even more bs comments im just putting through rogo/copilot. How do i get into startups or just figure out what even excited me about finance in the first place?
