Solar Finance

I am in as far as I am aware a unique, and for that matter weird, position outside of European soccer players. I have essentially been loaned to a (well funded) solar finance start up, that is a client of the firm I work for, for the month of August.

I work for a real estate investment bank (this is not a euphemism for a brokerage) and know little of the inner workings of solar finance, but have been told that it is quite similar to real estate, and that "Excel is Excel." I was wondering if anyone had any book or website suggestions (I will also Google relevant terms, but I am hoping the power of WSO can better point me in the right direction) that could allow me to hit the ground running. The position will also be in San Francisco for the month rather than New York City, so any insight about San Fran would also be greatly appreciated.

I know this post sounds fairly absurd, and when this loan was proposed to me, I thought so as well, but I promise I am not a troll.
