What are the exit/growth opportunities for ABL/field examiners?

I would eventually like to transition to corporate banking, private debt, or some form of cash flow lending. How tough would this transition be from a field examiner position? Looks like many people just stay in that role for a long time because of the pay, but I would only use it for the experience as I don't have much atm. Are there any good exit opportunities for them?
