Hey everyone, I'm currently an incoming soph. majoring in finance and minoring in comp sci with a fintech concentration at a semi-target I've been having difficult figuring out what to do in the future. On my own time I'm brushing up on my coding hoping to create algorithms for my stock trades. Also, I want to create an AI machine for kicks.
I considered being a quant, but in reality I don't know what to do. I don't have a strong engineering background (learned only Calc II), but I can catch up quickly. I definitely love finance and real estate and I'm thinking about how I could impact the industries.
I like to think; what value can being a quant give me?
I could learn how to create algorithms, and learn valuable skills and start a hedge fund (unfortunately a dying business), and eventually start a VC fund.
All I know is I want to be an investor of some kind in the future; whether it is in music, start ups, etc.
