would bschools consider this a "finance" job?

Hi all,

A little background--I've been in a credit role at a french bank for the past ~1.5 years and am exploring an opportunity at an aircraft lessor company doing risk/due diligence. Wondering if bschools would consider this a traditional "finance" background when the time comes to applying and if it would be a good transition to from my current job.

Some of the specs include: - Small company; high visibility with CEO/COO/CFO - Client facing with travel expected to meet with airline management - Develop industry expertise

The job is strictly risk management for a niche industry, but the role is fairly prominent in this company's operations. Advise/thoughts? Thanks.
