A student lied about graduation date to OTPP Infra and received an offer (be vocal/not be vocal)

Hi all,

So I heard of a Canadian masters student lying to one of the biggest pension plan regarding her graduation date to attain a winter internship offer starting in 2018. I'm wondering if OTPP should be aware of this? Because OTPP specifically indicated that the candidate is only eligible if him or her returns to school following the completion of the internship. Would like to have some suggestions as this is quite concerning and I personally believe that honesty is the best policy. :-(

I think they would figure out. She will have to go back to school or not be able to take a full time offer as soon. Have seen undergrads do this.. very poor choice to do

Not that you can get burned any harder than you already have, but this has to be the most defeatist, beta, naive question I have ever seen. What the cuck?

I have one piece of advice that I was given by one of my former bosses that I think could be quite useful in this context: be sparing with whom you make enemies. Judging by your post, I'll add a touch more clarity. Don't be a fool and throw some girl under the bus for something as trivial as a graduation date because you're jaded and trying to find ways around addressing the fact that you were less qualified for the position.
