Accel-KKR 2023 reputation? WLB/Culture/Exits

Hey all,

just recently attended the akkr info session - if people have thoughts on the culture/wlb/work that would be great! primarily for menlo park.

Thinking about the growth side but would be open to the more traditional end of things as well

For exits, how are they viewed at other shops (perhaps upstream like Vista, Thoma, etc.) and other MM tech shops? Also how are the b-school placements? Partners seem to have good HSW exposure but is that enough?

Pretty nooby so would love any color ya’ll have from experience or from friends/acquaintances

Thank you!!

do you know if juniors (analysts/associates) are focused almost entirely on sourcing, or if there are execution and modeling elements as well?

If Analyst/Associates aren’t doing the modeling, then who is?

Usually at these sourcing heavy shops it’s one of 2 models: (1) they hire you purely for sourcing; (2) it’s a portion of your responsibilities along with the more typical stuff. AKKR prob the latter, but I’m speculating.

Per my friend, associate roles are split between 100% sourcing or 100% execution. Culture/WLB is team-specific/generally very sweaty. Comp is below street.
