Accepted to Harvard MPP and MBA. Absolute deal breaker to do the MBA for PE Summer Assoc?

Before I get some generic advice:

I already did 3 years at J.P. / GS in a top IB group in London. I am currently in MF PE in London as well (WP/Carlyle level, not BX/KKR level)

Received an offer for HBS’s MBA and HKS’s MPP. I was an initially planning to do the joint degree, as I recognise the benefits of an MBA and my absolute end goals are contribute comtrbutcontribute

*contribute to my country’s National development (it’s actually a very unusual country that is the perfect combination of small in size, nepotistic, gerentocratic, undeveloped that it’s feasible)

Now, I don’t see the appeal anymore of doing an extra year for the MBA considering the opportunity cost. Given I have so much pre existing experience and it’s still a 2 year harvard post grad degree, do you think BX/KKR would be willing to at least interview me?

if anything don’t do the MPP degree. Get the HBS MBA. Yes it’s not that hard to get a good PE job post HBS if you have relevant experience coming in - trading up in fund size is not atypical at all… (although there is a reason for that - most people post MBA are starting to optimize upwards trajectory/life considerations, and not prestige chasing which really is the only benefit at the MFs at the post MBA level)
