Apollo Has a Sophomore Internship Apparently?

An alum from my school in BB IBD (fringe target, Berkely/UT Austin/UCLA) had a Sophomore summer internship at Apollo. Really confused about this and can't find anything online about what program this could be or how they managed to get it. I plan on reaching out but would like to hear thoughts in the meantime or if they don't respond.

Often, when things don't add up, there is another factor involved. Maybe the kid is well connected through his parents/grandparents/close relative. I could see Apollo making an exception for someone you lets say might be the child of a large pension fund or something like that.

I highly doubt something like this is open to the general public.

I believe it's only for kids who go to schools where they manage a piece of the endowment, then it's usually either DEI or people who have some personal connection to a senior. As far as I'm aware it doesn't have a junior summer equivalent and isn't something you can get a FT offer from, more or less just a resume builder.

Anyone asking these types of questions are as retarded as the types of kids getting into these internships.

Unless you're a minority (excl. asian) or a woman, you won't get a sophomore internship at Apollo
