Any insight on Ardian's pay level in the LBO direct investment teams (Buy-out, expansion and growth) at (Sr) Investment Manager roles? do they have carried? Heard that they are underpaying but never seen a figure...

On analyst level, they certainly aren’t underpaying (in Europe). Also from what I‘ve heard the give out (a little) carry already to IM, so SIM certainly will get carry.
Is this is a Europe thing? i've been seeing some AN1's mentioning how they received carry in EU based firms.
Afaik only Investment Managers (=Assocs) get a small carry
