Are there any crossover funds where you can work both on public and private side?

I enjoy technology investing. I equally enjoy sitting in the room with a founder at Seed stage and rolling up my sleeves and helping him grow businesses as I do the more academic exercise of public markets investing.

I am looking for roles where I can invest seed through public. In order to get more breadth of stage, I would be willing to trade breadth of coverage and stick with one of consumer / fintech / enterprise SaaS (I have a specialty in one of those).

Does this role exist? If so, at which firm(s)? If you are unaware of this role, please offer some names you think I might be able to accomplish this at. So far, I think Altimeter is my best lead. Thank you.
