How does this vary across fund? The flagship fund has definitely had performance and fundraising issues while the Mid-cap strategy (which is relatively new) is doing good from what I've heard. Can anyone comment on the culture at the Mid-cap fund?

Very bad. Before I left in 2024, mid-cap was doing fine but came under increasing pressure. This meant that seniors made the environment very stressful for the juniors and directors. Can't comment as I only interfaced with their interns through socials but it was clear that the vibe was very bad, work was not meaningful to the juniors and the leadership was struggling to make tangible inroads with the deal screening and subsequent IC reviews.

is the performance really that bad? they raised a EUR 4.4bn fund in may24, and did some very strong exits in 2024. hard to find someone who either worked, or knows someone who worked, there as a full-time IP. any additional insights into deployment, performance and culture would be very helpful! as always looks nice and shiny from the outside, but curious to hear how it looks beneath the hood
