Bank group and PE recruiting (EVR Generalist)

Two questions here:

1) Does anyone have any insight into the experience with EVR's generalist group? Have not heard good things but want to confirm.

2) How much does bank group influence PE recruiting in comparison with school, resume, and obviously how prepared you are. If someone comes from a worse group in a bank, I'd imagine the smaller amount of dealflow will impact looks and discussion points, but any insight into this would be great

The learning experience will probably not be as solid because you are mostly used as a supporting role for deal teams rather than being the go-to analyst, but the WLB is great. Have friends in the group and they probably have the best WLB out of everyone I know in banking.
