Best options!
I'm currently an international student, and due to visa issues, my most realistic career path looks like I will have to get my MBA right out of undergrad to stay in the U.S. long term. With my current situation, if I go back into investment banking at a BB( I had a previous ib internship during undergrad), will being an associate post-MBA ruin my chances of recruiting for PE? ( even though I don't have a long banking career?)
Do you not have post-completion OPT? Or do you not have an offer? What visa issue is it exactly? Depending on the MBA you do (and complete) you may be limited in terms of only looking at career track roles, but if you are okay w that I don't see an issue with it?
If not, you could try and recruit in a different country and come back for an MBA to stay in the US long term? guessing the MBA you will be able to do after a few years will be from a better school than what you are doing rn but could be wrong.
