Bored & tired
Hi everyone - I’ve been feeling lack of motivation to do well in my job and am gravitating towards tasks I find “easy” and “brainless” to the extent possible.
All throughout life I’ve been an extremely hard worker, which is how I’ve gotten to where I am today, but I’ve become increasingly disillusioned by the value proposition of working in finance from both a fulfillment and hours perspective.
I don’t want to climb the PE ladder. Plan is just to coast as much as possible and collect the paycheck duration associate program, then leave finance.
Any thoughts? Advice? Should I care more?
Hey there! It sounds like you're going through a tough time, and trust me, you're not alone in this. Many people in the finance industry have felt the same way at some point. Here are a few thoughts:

Work-Life Balance: The finance industry is notorious for its long hours, but remember, it's important to maintain a healthy work-life balance. If you're feeling burnt out, it might be worth exploring roles within the industry that offer more flexibility.
