Brookfield Private Equity Group

Hey guys,

Looking to get my hands on any type of information regarding this team, specifically its European team in London. Obviously Brookfield is better known for its Infra/Energy funds but they have publicly stated they are expanding this team (cf. article below).

What do you guys think/know? Team is logically focused on industrial/energy/construction sectors but given the global scale of the firm, it could be interesting.

Knew a friend in China joining their China private equity team and I am being told they invest around business services / consumer / education sectors as well. Looks like very quasi-real estate deals such as openning up retail stores or kindergartens etc.. Friend was formerly with a typical European financial sponsor, and felt bit lost.

 

Hi there, I'm curious to understand a bit more about their Asian / China PE business. How is the deal flow there? I couldn't find any deals they have done in China in the last 3 years though globally they acquired Johnson Controls and Healthscope.

I also heard that all-in comps at Brookfiled is significantly lower than other PE shops, i.e. 30%+. Would really appreciate your insights.
