Buyside Internship offered to write me a rec letter (what should be included?)

Hi yall, I'm doing a buyside internship at a solid fund but won't be giving out a return offer and I'm going to banking afterwards anyways. I heard that having a rec letter like this can really be seen as favorable in a headhunter/interviewer's eyes. My boss asked if there was anything I wanted included in the letter and I have no idea what topics or specific actions I should tell him to include. I also performly really well at the internship and the team seems to like me a lot as well. any feedback would be greatly appreciated and upvoted.

  1. Start off by highlighting your responsibilities and achievements during your internship. This could include things like financial modeling, market analysis, and deal sourcing. "I learned more about business in three months at this internship than I did in three years at business school. Or maybe it was just the all-nighters that did it."

  2. Emphasize any skills that you developed or improved upon during your internship. These could be things like problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. "I may not have made any money during my internship, but at least I made a killing in Excel skills."

  3. Make sure to mention any specific projects or deals that you worked on and the impact you had on them. This will help show your value and contributions to the team. "I may not have made it onto the deal team, but I did manage to become the office's unofficial coffee-fetching champion."

  4. Finally, don't forget to thank your boss for the opportunity and express your appreciation for their mentorship and guidance.

Thanks a lot, this is really well written. Are you an intern or is your tag outdated because quality is A1
