Buyside recruiting and beard?
My last interview was pre-covid and have since been sporting a full beard. recently started analyst stint, and while the facial hair isn't an issue at my current firm, I wonder if I should go clean-shaven for interviews? I have yet to see any PE associates with facial hair, although it seems fair game in banking.
I take pride in the beard and maintain it pretty well, but don't want to take any avoidable risks.
You answered your own question. Some may be cool with it, some may be old school / not cool. But what if you interview with the latter? Will it be worth it when it’s totally in your control? Prob not
