Buyside SAT / ACT Perception
I've heard that buyside funds and their HH counterparts consider high school standardized test scores as a way to benchmark candidates. As an individual with a mediocre (B+ equivalent) score but a high-end GPA, will my SAT / ACT drag me down in PE / GE recruitment?
There’s a stupid easy fix for this—take the gmat/gre. The test is valid for 5 years and it’s way easier to take and study when you are in undergrad than while you are working. Get a good score to secure top mba admission while also putting on your resume to prove you are 90%+ test taker.
As a first-year analyst, would you recommend I go out of my way to take the GMAT now? feel like there's very little prep time given work / on-cycle occurring in 6 months.
