BX PE SA 2024 Non-Diversity
Just heard from a friend in diversity program that since candidates in the diversity program get first dibs on their favorite groups, theoretically groups like PE could be completely filled by the time the regular (non-diverse) round opens up (recruiter's words). Have heard anecdotally that it may be similar at other mega funds this year. As an asian/white male who's really interested in these PE SA groups, any advice on what am I supposed to do if they're completely filled with 100% diversity before I can even apply?
Nothing. There is nothing you can do. All you can do is apply, and with some luck you’ll get the interview, let alone an offer.

I see where you are coming from, but these underrepresented groups historically had the same chance of getting into MF PE---0%. It's just more noticeable to you now because you're no longer benefitting from the system.
I didn't mean to start yet another diversity debate... I was just wondering how I should navigate the recruiting process to have a shot at landing these PE groups for SA given that it may not even be possible if they're completely full before I can apply.
