Calling all PE Professionals…Is this legitimate? Paulson Investments LLC

Hi Everyone,

First off, I want to thank everyone who has contributed to me progressing my career and because of the sound guidance of several finance professionals across the entire spectrum, I was able to figure out some things to do to get offers in IB/PE. Im glad to say I have two in-person Interviews. One with K1 (PE firm in Manhattan Beach, CA) and another with the subject matter company- Paulson Investments LLC (IB/PE firm in Beverly Hills)

K1 is transparent. No questions.
Paulson Investments on the other hand is not very transparent and I’m getting a weird and oddly non professional vibe after speaking to one of their MDs. Maybe I’m wrong but it just seems like they need bodies to make sales…isn’t there a bit more to PE? What was also weird to me was that they were looking just for candidates with: 2 or more years of client facing experience, 7/63 licenses, center of influence marketing, motivated, good communication, and book of business. Sounds like I’m going to be cold calling a bunch of leads haha.

This is the website. They do a bunch of deals in biotech, pharmaceuticals, and some other stuff.

Here’s the LinkedIn:

Can anyone with experience tell me-

If this is legitimate?
Is there a difference between PE and PE sales?
What type of work would I be doing?
Would this be good for me if I want to do other roles in IB/PE?

Thank you for reading!
