Carlyle Group CSP Undergrad Summer London

Anyone have any insights on the CSP group at Carlyle and what level of technical knowledge is needed in the interviews? Found out from a friend about a summer undergaduate internship advertised on Imperial's careers site, but doesn't seem to be publicly advertised or on our own jobs site (Oxford/Cambridge/LSE). Theoretically, they're not expecting prior experience, it's only a plus. Description below - thoughts?

Interns will assist in analyzing new investment opportunities throughout the UK and Continental Europe, as well as assisting in the execution of new investments in these regions under the direct supervision and guidance of full time investment professionals. The environment is fast paced and demanding, with a strong emphasis on learning about investing and corporate finance throughout the program. Interns will have significant access to senior investment professionals on the team for career advice, career guidance and references upon completion of the program.

Applicants must have a strong understanding of accounting and corporate finance, with prior accounting, investment banking, management consulting or investment management experience a plus. Applicants must be in their penultimate year of university (or beyond) as a minimum education requirement.

I'd take the BB - potential to convert is much more important at this stage in your career. once you have a FT offer you and always shop around to better banks if that is what you want.

I would not recommend FT recruiting to anyone that does not have a FT offer lined up other that has serious internship experience (2 solid internship - one SA + one off cycle typically or 2 off cycles) as per this: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/20-most-frequently-asked-questions-london-edition
