Carry / Comp @ Large FoF
Anyone have insight on carry and total comp packages at mid and senior level (senior assoc+) at large FoF / co-invest / secondaries shops? Think Harbourvest, Alpinvest, etc.
For context, I’m at a large endowment / foundation, making ~$250k all in. When I think about the cash comp relative to these places, I feel like I’m in a good place, but I wonder how meaningful carry is at these firms
Are you talking secondaries or primary FoF at these firms? The carry difference between these two is significant; ~5% maybe for primary, 10-15% for secondary.
What about co-invest?
